Our Story

Prairie Manor Care Center, established in 1966 and welcoming its first resident in 1970, stands as a testament to community-driven care. Supported and guided by five local churches, each of which has appointed a member to serve on our Board of Directors, we maintain strong ties to our roots. Governed by this board in collaboration with our dedicated Administrator, we operate as a self-owned private entity, funded by the local churches and operated on a not-for-profit basis.

Guided by our core values of reverence, integrity, professionalism, and commitment, we are dedicated to honoring the sacredness and dignity of every individual while upholding the highest standards in business practices. Our mission is to foster an environment where residents experience excellent care within a homelike setting, promoting their quality of life.

With a clear vision for the future, we aim to maintain prestigious care standards while adapting to the evolving landscape of healthcare. Our goal is to lead the way as the region's premier nursing home, setting a model for excellence and innovation. Driven by a passion to make a positive impact, our team embraces servant leadership, going above and beyond to ensure each resident feels valued and empowered. At Prairie Manor Care Center, we prioritize your well-being and strive to create a supportive community where you can thrive.
